I have only used Ebac dehumidifiers before this, but changed because 2 out of 4 I'd tried, leaked! One never switching off, the other the water poured over the edge of the drip tray without going into the container.
The first thing I can say about this Electrolux is that it extracts a lot, at least as good as the largest 21 litre Ebac. That's its main plus point. Also being on castors I like, it's too heavy to lug around easily.
What I don't like: Tthe design of the water container is "Clunky". It may be large, but it isn't at all easy to draw out or replace. As it only switches off when the water is very close to the edge of the full container, it's very easy to spill some getting it out. Also the handle on the container feels very flimsy, it may not last long. (Hence only 3* for longevity). The floating level lever, that rises when full, is too heavy and lets the bucket get too full before moving. It would be better if it switched it off earlier, when slightly less full
The instructions tell you to clean the air filter regularly. There was no air filter behind the grid on mine, and all photos online seem to show the same. Also, the grid is very poorly fitting, being slightly too large for the space.
The fan on "turbo" is powerful, but without "turbo" it isn't a lot lower, ie, its low setting is too high and therefore noisy, (cf the Ebacs I've had.)
The control panel labels are a joke. Why "turbo" when "High" and "Low" would be more understandable, and "SMT"??????... It stands for "Smart Mode Dehumidify" ie "Auto", why not just say "Auto". (As it's going into a rented apartment, I added the "Auto" sticker.
Also the instructions seem to imply you can set the humidity level, you can't, at least not on mine, or on another I found reviewed.
So, it extracts really well, but it could be, and should be so much better.
