Hardly the end of the world; if you've ever travelled abroad, you'll have one, or order one when you buy this.Mine did come with clear instructions on how to assemble the fan which is detached for transit. It could not be simpler: Undo 4 screws. Put the rear grill on and replace screws. Put the fan blade onto the rod. Tighten the side screw well. Put the front fan grill on and close the beautifully made clips on the sides to hold it securely in place. It took me 5 minutes tops and I enjoyed it.I had a Dyson but it wasn't powerful enough for our needs, the and the remote was faulty, so returned it. In this recent hot weather, we were desperate for a good fan so ordered this.I am blown away by how beautiful it is! If you like the beautiful lines of a kitchenAid mixer, you'll love this. I chose the copper and it looks incredible.It is very well made, in real metal. I looked up Tristar, they've been established for 40 years and care about high quality, which this fan is. I've ordered 3 more, one for a wedding present for someone who can't bear to be too hot. Highly recommended.

Beautiful looking fan. Haven't been able to see if it works as it has a European plug. Also had no instructions on how to put it together, it was easy enough but I can understand how this would be annoying to some. I am going to keep it though and change the plug.
