The laptop was amazing, it worked great and it did what i wanted, however i noticed that the laptop was getting slower so i did a full system restart, long story short the files corrupted and the laptop is now an expensive paper weight.
the customer service for MSI is useless, my warranty messed up when i applied for it so it does not exist, and I keep getting told to go somewhere else to get assistance, i got the laptop in July 2018

Amazon CustomerI spent a month of two deciding on which gaming laptop to get. Finally decided on this as opposed to anything with a 1060 in since I read the 1070 is up to 40% faster. On raw numbers the graphics seem to be faster than my friends asus rog which is exactly the same spec.
This is louder than most PC's but that just reassures me that its doing something rather than having a whisper max-q chip.
Happy with this so far.
edit: 13.04.2018.
So to add to this after having it for a couple of months, the keyboard backlight has become very dim and the disk IO on the hard drive (not the SSD) is far below what you would expect.

Two further issues.
1. The steelseries keyboard doesnt always respond to the change in cycling the leds different colours.
2. The power supply makes a short popping noise every time its plugged in.
3. The key next to the number 1 on the main keyboard clicks and isnt flush anymore.
Dropped from five stars (i love it) to 3 stars (its ok) since it still does the job but it seems to be physically degrading over a very short space of time.
edit 03.9.18
the keyboard blacklight has completely stopped working after 8 months of use. I wouldnt recommend this laptop based on my experience.
