This was a replacement for a Dyson I have used for 15 years. Went for Dyson again as the first one was very good.
I am sure this one will last as long

Does what a Dyson should do!!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Comes with 2 separate head types, one of which is difficult to use - great suction as you would expect. Small capacity in the collection cylinderso needs to be emptied frequently.

Hard work
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I like the powerful suction. But be warned - it’s really hard work. I keep having to take breaks when using it. It’s got to the stage where I dread having to use it. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Simply the Best Vacuum Cleaner on the Market!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Fantastic cleaner. We had a Dyson before this and it lasted us for about 7 years. About 6 months before the warranty ran out the engine gave up. True to their word, they came out and replaced it for free. He replaced the head for free while he was at it because it was damaged (I was not aware that it was).

This Dyson is even better. Before we had Dysons, we would buy the cheapest vacuum cleaners at Tesco and apart from the fact that they broke every year, they sucked virtually nothing up. So we flushed €60 a year down the toilet. The Dyson is expensive but with a 5 year warranty and exceptional cleaning power you do the math. Over 5 years, your Dyson will pay itself back over the cheap rubbish you can buy elsewhere. Robert Cialdini in his book "Influence" points out that more expensive isn't always better, and that we should beware of falling into the automatic thinking that it is, but in this case experience proves to me that it is.

More jams than Hartley's
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This thing has more jams than Hartley's, the suction is pathetic, it constantly needs disassembly to clear the hoses, junctions, heads etc. It is also utterly useless for picking up pet hair and what little it does pick up clogs in the dust collector, so I have to put my hand in there to pull the dust and hair out. The curved tube where the hose meets the body is a complete pain in the backside to clean out, and seems to block on a weekly basis. A complete triumph of advertising over both quality and function.

I've now bought a Henry and it just works.

Product Description

The DC28c Musclehead has been engineered to provide high dust and dirt removal on all floors, not just carpets. Thanks to its dual-mode floor tool, you can switch between hard floors and carpets with a simple push of a button. There is also a lightweight adjustable wand that extends to the length you need for tackling those hard-to-reach areas. Using radial root cyclone technology, the dc28c musclehead is capable of capturing the dust, dirt and microscopic particles that other vacuum's may miss. It features innovative ball technology that provides greater control around furniture and awkward spaces. And because there are no wheels, you do not need to partake in the awkward 'back and forth' motion of traditional vacuum cleaners. It requires no replacement bags or filters, and with no loss of suction you can be sure that it will make the task of cleaning around the home a lot easier. This version of the dc28c comes with a musclehead floor tool, dyson's most efficient floor head on hard surfaces, that also self-adjusts across all floor types and has a low profile for cleaning under furniture. Multi cyclonic technology. Pet tool included. HEPA filter. Hose stretches up to 10m. Dust capacity 2 litres. Automatic cord rewind. Foot operated cord rewind. Adjustable floorhead. Includes mattress nozzle, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, combination floor nozzle. Telescopic extension tubes. Suitable for carpets and hard floor. 6.5m power cord. DB84 noise level. 28 kWh usage per year.
