Not very good suction picks little bits when emptied but gets clogged up hair and bird seed
hannahUsing the vac for maybe 2 years already without any issues. Strong suction. I found myself often misplacing the filters when cleaning it, but this is probably just me.I read now the bad reviews... No issues with suction, but of course it will suffer when the container is full and the filter is clogged. Didn't read any instructions, but I clean and rinse the filter after each use.

I think most of the positive reviews are based on the initial experience where the suction power is probably a little too strong & you have to open the vent slightly to enable it to flow over carpets and wooden floors without going through a workout.5 months later the suction started to fade to where it can’t suck\stick to my hand anymore and small dust remains unaffected.

Sucks the carpet up but not the stuff on it seems powerful but doesn't work properly the 2nd one they have sent me won't be recomending to anyone
alan hewittToo Loud, the Carpet function button on the Nozzle was too hard and felt like it would break every time it was used. Had to return.
Amazon CustomerSolid hoover but does require a strip down and clean of the filter if you do 2 rooms in one go without emptying regularly. But you can open empty and spin the top filter if you got a little lazy the first time. The wife still prefers henry for the living room carpet but the attachments on this get more pet hair out without as much circling of stubborn hair with the short nozzle of the henry imo
ArnmacWant to return it and replace with a properly working model.
H. Omur TopacVery disappointed with this hoover!
Doreen M. QueisserNot great suction power compared to my Dyson but then a hell of a lot cheaper.
PaulThe 'sucking' power on this is great, in fact it's a little too strong! It can be hard to push across my carpet, so I have to open up the slide cover on the handle to reduce the suction. It does mean that it pick up lots of dust & the carpet does feel a lot cleaner after. The issue I have found is that after using a couple of times the hoover loses all suction. This is reasonably easy to fix, you have to empty the bin, bang out the filter & clear out the trap between the 2.

Julie O'ReillyVery powerful for the price. Just gets clogged up too easily and I'm always taking it apart to in clog but apart from that it very good
Gralnorpacked up in 4 months
maureenlovellInitially loved it however having used it for nearly 6 months I will never buy a cylinder again. Loses suction quickly and clogs up very quickly necessitating it being emptied often. Waste of money
Peter MurphyThis product started really well and I was pretty happy with it. However just in 6-7 months, it has lost most of its suction ability. And it is not serving its purpose. Same thing happened for my earlier purchase, which was a refurbished VAX vaccum cleaner. However this is new and same result. I will call up the company for free replacement as it is still under warranty.
PankajBGVery pleased given the price I paid. Powerful suction (almost too strong at times). Only weak points are that the hose feels a bit flimsy and it's a shame the extension hose isn't separate so you can get into those high or hard to reach spots.
A Frugal ShopperI have been the very happy owner of an original version of the Vax Pet vacuum cleaner, owning the same one for nearly 8 years. The only reason I had to replace it was because our kitchen flooded and water got into the vacuum cleaner. I had no hesitation therefore in purchasing another Vax especially for pet hair as I own a dog and cat, both of which are fluffy. I should have read the reviews, this product is not fit for purpose! It has angered me enough to write this review to warn others not to waste their money. On using it for the first time it seemed OK, the vacuum is very powerful and sucked up all the pet hairs, but the problem starts when you try to empty it, and I have to empty it after every time I use it due to the amount of hair my dog sheds. It's so fiddly and the more times you empty it the more difficult and messy it becomes, I even have to unscrew a couple of screws every time to release the hair from the filter, which means it takes forever to clean my floors. I never had this problem with my last Vax as it was easy to empty, the Vax design team have gone backwards with this model. Anyway, I have wasted over £70 on this very unsatisfactory product ( I've just noticed that it's now been reduced to £59 adding insult to injury!) I am very disappointed and after owning this product for only 3 weeks am abandoning it to the garage where it will be used occasionally to vacuum my car. I have just purchased a new vacuum from a rival company as I now realise that Vax is a brand that can no longer be trusted, I feel cheated of my hard earned cash. I have awarded 2 stars only because the " turbo" attachement is good and the power of the suction is good overall.
Amazon CustomerVery happy with this product, haven't used it much but seems to be doing it's job
