I need nozzle storage now!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

One thing i absolutely hate is vacuum cleaners that provide lots of nozzles etc but no where or way to store them, not even a net bag. What the heck am i supposed to do with this huge pile of bits and pieces, i will loose them or forget what goes with what or what its for! This ends up with me using one nozzle and the rest falling by the wayside! There is also no included instructions as to what each nozzle does or is for. I know in this day and age they want to make one product for the whole world so they tend to rely on pictures rather than 19 different languages. This just tends to mean that it doesnt make very little sense to anyone!I know they keep using the word 'silent' and 'quieter' but it still terrifies the cats so nice try but your not there yet!Its easy to empty as most are now. i prefer a small handheld or superlong hose to do the stairs but this isnt too hard to hold half way up the stairs. This has plenty of suction in out multi longer haired cat/hairy people household thankfully. I spend a whole lot of my life untangling hair from vacuum cleaner rollers! This vacuum is recommended if you have nozzle storage space and can guess what they are for, it has plenty of suction and is a fab colour.

Quality Vacuum, great suction
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a good quality and good looking vacuum cleaner. I usually use the upright type but my main one has started to lose suction so I was keen to have something new.

This comes in a large box with several attachments, I tend to keep one attachment on unless i'm doing the edges then i'd go with something narrower but there's definitely every sort of attachment you could possibly need!

The drum which collects the dust and dirt could be a little bigger, for the size of the vacuum it doesn't hold as much as my other Vacuum which means you empty it more but it is fairly straight forward to empty and clean, unlike my Dyson which is near impossible with many parts to remove!

The suctions is flawless and works well both on my hard floors and carpets, I tend not to use this up the stairs as I find it awkward lifting it up the stairs and the hose isn't long enough to do the whole stretch, but my other vacuum is a special stair one with the extended hose so I now keep one up and one down!

All in all we're very happy with this, a great, efficient vacuum, happy to recommend, collects a surprising amount of dust from what I thought were already clean carpets and does a fabulous job!

pretty impressive...for a red vacuum...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

To paraphrase another vacuum manufacturer, the highlight of this vacuum is that it does not lose suction...never!Unboxing the vacuum, one comes across a red beauty. It's a bold red vacuum that is not the most lightweight of vacuums, but perhaps that is a good sign of things to come, I thought to myself! One also comes across a number of different attachments and a nice, clear set of instructions. It is not difficult to put it together, but one has to be familiar with vacuums before one figures out exactly how everything fits together! As with a lot of vacuums, the manufacturer promises efficiency, noise levels and manoeuvrability. Well, the manufacturer certainly delivers on the first point, efficiency. The vacuum sucks, in a good way, everything! It also has a dial feature to allow the user to control the beast, i.e. the rigour which will be applied in vacuuming! The noise levels are in direct correlation with how effective the user wants the vacuum to be. It is not silent, do not be fooled. But, at normal levels, it is not unpleasant, let's put it like that...Finally, on the last point, at roughly 8 kilos, it is not the most nippy of vacuums, like Henry for example, but it can be relatively easily moved from one place to the other. In a nutshell, one would buy this vacuum for its efficiency, its great looks and the fact that it comes from a well established manufacturer so one knows that hopefully, this vacuum will last!

Effective and well built
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The sales pitch on this vacuum cleaner is on how silent it is. Well, vacuum cleaners are noisy things, and this one is no exception. Quieter than many others? Probably – but silent is a bit of an oxymoron when it comes to vacuum cleaners. That aside, how is this to use?
Instructions are generic. Putting it together out of the box is dead easy, but how about explaining what all those myriad of head connectors are? There really is a large selection of heads for this cleaner, which should be a good thing – but I’m going to be honest that although I can make a few educated guesses I can’t tell what the different intended uses are for some of these. End result? I have the main one I use for the floor, and another head I put on if I want to clean furniture etc. The rest are in a bag which will gather dust in the cupboard.
When using though, it’s great – it’s pretty light, and not as noisy as some.. and boy, does it have suction power. I remember falling into the trap of thinking I need more Watts from my vacuum cleaner, but this gets a lot of suction from a lot less Watts than my old cleaner. More often than not I had to dial the power down when using. It’s got handles in helpful places so I had no problems lugging it around – though as mentioned, all the accoutrements have no ‘home’ on the cleaner so they ended up unused in the cupboard.
I found that after use seeing when the dust container was full and needed emptied, and then emptying, were very straight forward and intuitive. The container may be smaller than some, but when its as visible and easy to empty that doesn’t really bother me.
All in all, I enjoy using this, it is effective and portable. My minor issues are with the poor instructions and unnecessary bits and pieces, and I wonder whether at this price point it really distinguishes itself from the competition, other than being a bit less noisy than its competitors.

A great little sucker.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is small and compact but powerful: a great little bagless powerhouse of a vacuum cleaner, and a pleasure to use, as these things go. It was a little complicated to set up but once all together it was easy to use. It is a relatively quiet but hugely mobile vacuum cleaner, and is a great addition to the house, and I'm definitely not going back to bags. It is easy to empty, clean and maintain. A winning combination!

We rate this very highly
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This has now become our favourite vacuum to use because of how flexible it is, light with a good selection of attachments so floors and stairs are not a problem. While it suggests that it is quiet its not that quiet especially with the carpet turbo mode head attachment which really beats and cleans the carpet at a impressive pace. The vacuum pretty much turns on a dime so getting around the room is hardly any effort what so ever. One of its best features is the bag-less and easy to empty removable compartment so we save money there to a bonus for us.It looks pretty good we quite like the red colour and generally this feels very well built and thought out though it is on the pricey side we think.

Great Suction
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have mostly hardwood or tiled flooring and three bedrooms with carpet. The ease of changing the 'heads' from one which is perfect for hard floors to one which is perfect for carpets, makes this vacuum cleaner a pleasure to use. (I say 'pleasure' with a pinch of salt!)I've not used an AEG vacuum cleaner before but have used a good few (Hoover upright, Panasonic upright, Dyson upright, Vax cordless upright, Vax wet and dry, Vax cylinder, Shark upright) to know what I like and expect from a vacuum. This one has a useful handle on top and on first lifting it out of the box I thought it felt nicely lightweight to carry around and manoeuvre on stairs. There are several different 'head' accessories to attach for different styles of vacuuming – presumably for dusty curtains and furniture. I'm not a big faffer so I have chosen the two heads I will use – one for carpets and one for hard floors – and I will probably stick to those two, with an intermittent use of a stick nozzle, for the rest of its life. The instructions are not good – written instructions are just health and safety (don't vacuum the garden pond and don't stick your fingers in the socket) and the visual pictures are not the easiest to follow and it did take me a little while to get the right end of the pipes and nozzles fitted into place. They click together when inserted into each other but I do find it difficult to squeeze the sides of the fittings to take them apart – maybe they will ease off with use.In use, – I love it!! The on/off is just a lever which you turn to the speed you want – I use full power everywhere. The cord is a good length and the vacuum rolls around easily. With the adjustable long rigid pipe attached to the corrugated tube, it means you can stand upright and vacuum comfortably without getting backache. The heads swivel and twist so that you can get around furniture easily. The fluff collection compartment is clear to see into for when it's full. It is not very large and will need emptying after each use, maybe two uses, b

Not that quiet but very powerful
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

It claims to be very quiet - I didn't find that particularly and it still caused the cat to run out. But otherwise I found it good.Other niggle is the instruction leaflet. It isn't hard to work out how to use it and identify the filter and 'bag' , but it could do with identifying all the parts - see photo! As this is the animal edition it came with a few tools which are clearly for furniture and curtains but I am not sure what they all do. Even a visit to the website didn't help as many of the tool spares have no photo so it's trial and error. The vacuum itself is easy to use - the power button is a lever that you push up to give you graduated suction which is helpful in choosing how to clean specific areas/furniture but does mean it isn't foot operable if you are changing tools mid clean. The waste area does fill quickly- at least at first but that may improve once all the cat hair has been collected! I found it did a very good job with impressive suction even when full but it does obviously do better with frequent emptying. The filter also gets clogged quickly, I found I'm emptying both after each major use.Manoeuvrability isn't bad, it does need help round corners and the flex length whist ok isn't anything like what I get from a Henry. But it is much lighter and for stairs will be easier to use - especially if the hose connector extension is not used.In summary very impressive suction and power, effective where there is a lot of pet hair and dust. Impressive array of tools especially for hair removal. Just not as quiet as claimed. A light and easy to use machine.

It's a good vacuum cleaner, but the dog hates the same as every other one.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I like a cylinder vacuum cleaner for stairs and I found this one effective in my 2 flights of stairs. It is not overly heavy and moves well. As vacuum cleaners go it is not very loud and as I don't have a decibel meter I can not tell if it is what it claims to be. The suction is excellent , a number of tools for various jobs , but they will be probably lost. I have tried cordless but I have to say to get a decent deep down clean then this cleaner beats them hands down. AEG do make good vacuum cleaners and this is no exception. Mind you the dog hates this one just as much as every other one.

Powerful, be careful
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

There is serious suction in the vac, to the degree that a cheap carpet will disappear into it over a few months. Thankfully it has variable power in easy reach. It is supposed to be quiet, but I am not wholly convinced. I guess it is quiet for a vac of this power, but it is louder than, for instance, a Henry. The hose reach is terrific, and the tool set covers almost everything. I can't really comment on the filters - I can permanent dust/hay fever and this hasn't made any difference. The key reason to buy this is for the power - you'll do well to find better suction.

Decent vacuum cleaner
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This seems like a decent mid range vacumn cleaner in general. It picks up well in the main and manoeuvres quite easily. In general it is quiet except with the whirling brush attachmen. There are a decent range of attachments covering all the needs I could come up with. It's certainly powerful - indeed there were times when, even with the power turned down, it still lifted the carpet. As is the fashion these days the manual is simply illustrations and frankly not that good. I'd argue for a longer cable too for a preference. I can't really call it silent but it is quiet compared to others we've had.We don't think this is bad value however this is a product area where offers are common and I'd be watching out for offers on this and competitors model if I was concerned about a budget.

Excellent!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I got this for my daughter, as she needed a new vacuum. She has a busy life with a houseful of pets and toddlers, so a decent cleaner is a must. Her old Dyson lasted less than a year, but I'd got myself an aeg and I swear by them... She's not had it a month and it's really living up to, and exceeding, her expectations. Now there's been some controversy with the issue of whether this is silent, but it is one of the quieter cleaners... It's possible to use this and not wake the (teething) baby up! There are several different heads, which have been used with good effect all around the house. The velvet head is especially good at picking up pet hair! Her favourite feature though, is the nice long tube and the long lead, which goes more or less right through the downstairs. It's also very easy to empty. I can't recommend this highly enough... It's a pity I can only give it five stars!

Brilliant
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I was so excited to get this to test as i have a 10 year old vax cylinder cleaner that isnt the best. This was a lot smaller than i had expected, in the photos it looks really big but its quite diddy compared to my old one, it is also lighter and a lot easier to move around. Its an absolute doddle to put together, the instructions are so easy they come in pictures, no words, you just push and fit and you are done. You get a 9 metre cable which is so handy for small rooms, its also very handy for small 1 bedroom bungalows, i can plug it in the hall and do everywhere without having to unplug and move to a new room, fantastic. The tubes are small, this surprised me a lot, they are definitely smaller than my old machine, but others may not notice, however the one thing i really like is that you can alter the tube so suit your own height, i think the longest it can be is 1.8m, which is great when you are almost 6ft, you dont have to hunch over and can stand tall when vacuuming, not so hard on the old back. The tube also slips inside itself so it can be stored away easier. The unit itself is a lovely red, it has been very well made so it doesnt get damaged when you are pulling it around,, this also protects your furniture etc. The unit itself is surprisingly powerful for something that is only 650 watts, i was really shocked. I have a dog and it picked up all the pet hair off the floor, my old one never did this and i am genuinely thrilled it is so great at pet hair removal as this is not a dedicated pet vacuum, so additional bonus. It is also so powerful it literally sucks my carpet up off the floor , my house has never been so clean. The dust collector fills up very quickly, i have to empty it after every vacuum, but Its very easy to empty, you just unclip the dust unit and slide open the lock on the bottom, and tip it in the bin, no bags, no mess, how great is that.I love the fact that it had a variable dial, fantastic to vary between different floor types.Overall i think its a great machine, surprised me with how well i

Well, it really isn't silent, but it is the quietest one i have ever owned. Brilliant to use and quieter than my usual kettle is. For a vacuum cleaner- excellent!

Packs a punch for its size
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

About five years ago, I got an older version of this vacuum cleaner in for a review and while it's been holding up pretty nicely the promise of a smaller, lighter and more effective version was something I would struggle to pass up. I gave it a quick pass around the house to try it out.First impressions were good as the vacuum was pretty easy to assemble. There are also a lot of different heads, from smaller ones for corners and fabrics through several for different floor types including one with an "adaptive" mode that claims to adjust to different ones too. Theres a handy clip to put one or two of the smaller ones onto the nozzle, but expect to have to find somewhere else for the larger pieces. The cable, itself is a decent length and retracts in when you press the button while the overall build quality is solid.Despite it's smaller size and lighter weight, this vacuum still packs a good punch in terms of pickup. The smaller bucket means you have to empty it slightly more often than I would like, though this process is pretty straightforward as is getting the filters out to be clean. Tested on a range of different floor types (with the range of different heads) didn't affect the performance too much either.Overall then, what you've got here is a decent vacuum and a reasonable upgrade over the previous version. It's easy to move around, picks up well and has a decent range of heads. At the level it's pitched, I can do little but recommend it.

Not noisy...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Takes a bit of assembly and the (picture) instructions are not the best but the photos on the box help when the leaflet falls short. It looks good, operates well and sound-wise it's quieter than our old one which makes a nice change as that one was a beast. Suction is amazing and doesn't miss a thing whether on our lainate floors or the carpets. It does need emptying regularly as it fills up fast but that's not unusual for most of them these days, I find. Overall I'm delighted with it and can happily recommend.

Impressive bagless vacuum
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The last AEG vacuum cleaner we had was a bit of a disappointment, especially in terms of suction power, but this one definitely makes the grade as far as we are concerned.I’m always sceptical as to whether bagless vacuums are as powerful as bagged, but there are no such problems here. Whilst not as powerful as our old Miele, it’s still very good indeed - which is important to us as we have a lot of cats, and thus a lot of pet hair to vacuum up.The main USP of this vacuum is that it is meant to be quieter than most, and this is certainly the case. It’s also easy to put together, pretty lightweight and thus easy to manoeuvre. It has a decent reach as it has quite a long cord. The only small moan I have is that it’s not that easy to open to empty; I’ve found the vacuum quite stiff to open, but perhaps that’s just me. All in all it’s a really good vacuum, and one for me that puts AEG back on the map. Four stars.

A bit overpriced.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is my secong AEG vacuum - the first was a cheaper model - much cheaper and although the AEG performance was high I found the attachment heads broke or cracked after a bit of use.So, being fed up of the Gaffer taped attachment falling off whilst vacuuming I decided to give this model a go.At 179.99 I thought it a bit expensive but now I see it has gone up to over e00 pounds.I am hoping "you get what you pay for" applies!Anyway it is a very nice looking unit.I love the chilli red colour. It is bagless - which I think is a must - but the cylinder isn't massive so it does need emptying fairly frequently - BUT - if you want a compact cleaner, which this is you can't have it both ways.Loads of accessories - as you would expect.Instruction leaflet - not too good, but when are instructions EVER any good.Assembly is easy and it manoevres fairly well. Not silent but ok.Suction AMAZING for a cleaner this size.Overall - AEG high quality as expected but a bit overpriced.
