I have had my Bravo vacuum cleaner for over 10yrs. It might be pricey and have single use bags, but seriously, it is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I also have a Dyson upright and even after using that one, this will pick up dust/debris/dander from the carpets. It has adjustable power so you can vacuum furniture and bedding without the item being sucked into the pipe. I love it. Highly recommended. It is not too heavy and the stretchy pipe is very long. The only negative is the retractable power cable is not as long as on other machines, but it is manageable as I have plenty of power sockets in my house. There is a little hole in the back and side of the machine to clip the cleaning pipe too. Seriously, if you want a vacuum cleaner that will last, buy this one. The bags are about a tenner for x 5 so that could be an expensive item if you use the machine daily. Guess it is one of those decisions that can only be made by the individual. Happy to recommend.
