The iron leaked, did not reach a hot enough temperature and was basically unusable. I would not recommend.

A lot of iron for your money!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Igenix is a British distributor of electrical products. Quite what this means I'm not too sure. Does this mean they buy unbranded products abroad and then rebrands them under their own name ? I'm not sure.Anyway, if you need a decent iron you get a lot for your money here. The output is 1200 watts and it has the usual rotary dial for temperature control. The steam facilities are very impressive for an iron that costs under twenty quid.If you're operating under a tight budget or just need a back-up iron for emergencies, you do get a lot of iron for your money with this Igenix model.

a good basic iron
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a great basic iron which is perfect for anyone who will be living away from home for a while like a student in digs or halls of residences, or a caravan or bedsit. It is lighter than the more intricate irons that are available but it still has a variety of settings and the dial settings are clear..The footplate feels smooth and it has a basic spread of steam vents. The company have included a small water jug to fill the tank with – a lot of the more known companies like Philips have stopped putting these vital little jugs in with their irons so I was happy to see it included. The cable is short and I needed to use an extension cable to use the iron comfortably. It warmed up quite quickly and was easy to operate.Overall a good basic iron.

Good value steam iron
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is good, if not fancy, steam iron. It comes with a small water jug to use to fill the iron, with a 'max' indicator so you don't overfill. The opening for the water is on the front and opens and closes easily with a click-on hinged cover. The iron has large spray and steam-shot buttons and a lever to select the steam power. The temperature dial is simple, with min and max, fabric descriptions and the normal one, two and three dot indicators. It's pretty light-weight (compared to some fancier models which can be quite heavy), it heats up quickly with the indicator light switching on or off as necessary. For the price I'd recommend - it's doing what it should be and pressing my clothes well.

Standard steam iron in hot pink and white,
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a regular steam iron with no frills attached. It has a stainless steel sole plate for easy gliding and a steam output for 1200w . It also has an adjustable temperature dial. It is lightweight but does a good job. It is also pink and white as shown, an interesting color. I like it.

Brilliant
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This really is an amazing iron for the price. Just recently my rather expensive Phillips iron has been playing up and rather than fork out another £70+ I decided I'd give this little beauty a whirl. It is light, heats up really quickly and best of all it irons very efficiently. My only gripe with it is it does leak a little water but for the price it is brilliant. Only time will tell how it fares, we'll see.

Pink and Perky !
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This lovely little pink and white steam iron received for review, courtesy of Igenix and Vine and my wife was more excited than me to see it rise gleaming from its box, insisting that in order to give it a thorough test I should start on the mountain of ironing she had assembled for me to run through. Please make sure that you remove the sticky protector from the sole plate before you start as I feel that this has clothes, iron and marriage-ruining potential if you do not. Once this is done, however, then it’s a simple matter of filling with the little container to load up the reservoir, plug it in and away you go. It weighs in at about 650g, which is about half that of our usual iron which is a Philips. It also comes up to steam much quicker than the Flying Scotsman and I estimate it was seconds before the steam/temperature light went out. The iron has a three-position switch for steam, which is none-half-full. I tend to use the full-on steam because I like the reassuring hissing this gives me and I feel that my ironing efforts are much more professional than my wife’s keen eye would suggest. I also liked the squirty water jet button useful for when I have to go back and iron out the mistakes I’ve just ironed in and the vertical steam button which gives a nice pulse of steam for those tricky bits that one irons like sleeves that won’t lie flat and the bits above the zips in men’s trousers that also refuse to lie flat until given a good blast of steam.I ran off a few shirts and it’s an easy enough iron to use. It has a gleaming ‘chrome’ sole plate which is not quite as slippy as it appears but gives good results anyway also the steam jets do not extend too far into the pointy bit that one needs to get in and iron that awkward bit on one’s shirts beyond the little button that holds down the collar, but once again good results came forward and the shirts were done in no time. The cloth-covered flex is adequate but I would have liked a slightly heavier-gauge one that would sit across the ironing board a little better

Its well priced
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I’ve worked in the electrical retail business most of my working life, first as a small family business then moving over to one of the large out of town storesWhen as small retailer we only ever sold branded irons, If I remember we had 7 models, as a large retailer it had 68 different irons, anything from under £6 up to a few hundred pounds, It was always hard to sell the very expensive ones, but over the years I’ve understood better why some are cheap and some are expensive, I would now say, push your budget, the dearer ones are well worth having.About the Igenix IG3111, this iron is okay, Its a light weight model, a combination of steam and temperature settings. I’m not loving this, I think for the price its okay but there are others on the market that are similar priced and better in my opinion.Good bits, the iron is perfectly weighted, no aching arm, cord is positioned so that it doesn’t get in the way. This a nice Iron not a great iron, If you are going off to uni or something similar then this could be perfect, every day use not sure.
