I don't recommend this kettle. Had this kettle for just over 4 years. It suddenly stopped working. My previous £20 kettle lasted longer than that. Terrible customer service from KA. They offer 30% off to buy another super expensive kettle. I don't think so!

I bought this kettle in 2016, and already had 2 replacements. After a while it's "computer" breaks down, and when you try to boil water, it thinks for a few seconds, then all lights flash and there is a continuous beep as if it thinks the water has already been boiled.I am now talking to Kitchenaid to check the 3rd kettle, I am sure it'll be replaced with a 4th one after they "inspect" it and I'll have to do with boiling water on the hop until they can send out a new one.They are aware of the issue and say that it should not happen, but customers have to keep suffering. They couldn't even send a new one right ahead, which is what Nespresso does when attending to faulty coffee makers.Very frustrating!

Dreadful reliability and customer service.We're now on our third in 3 years (2 replacements).First one took over 6 weeks to replace while the second was replaced immediately.It's obviously cheaper to replace it rather than inspect it due to the countless returns.You could buy approx. 10 cheap kettles for the price of 1 KitchenAid kettle which would no doubt give some 10-20 years service as opposed to the KitchenAid's 1.Buy one for its looks but do keep a cheap back up in the cupboard - you'll need it.

Regret of buying this kettle and if i read this review first i may not have spent that much on a kettle that only last me 6months. It does not charge anymore and now i have to return it to get it fixed and so not having a kettle for a few weeks.

It's expensive for a kettle and VERY expensive for something that's lasted such a short time. Be aware that John Lewis have this product on their website for £119.95 - significantly less than here and includes free delivery! So, if you like style over durability.......!
