I ordered one used it for less than a month and the steam button stuck in the down position .. I had a replacement and the same has happened !
Tracy StroudI am shocked to find that the iron delivered had been used!! there are water drops on the surface of the water tank. When I open the tank and double-checked, it is wet!!!
KTOne of the steam button stopped working after using it only for one monthIt’s not light it’s heavy as rockI do not see the difference between cheap iron and this one
RubenA stunning looking iron and on the whole worked very well the one time I used it after buying from new. However, and this point gave me no option but to return this item for a refund, the temperature dial got knocked every time I picked up the iron and changed the temperature. SO ANNOYING! The iron is also quite heavy. I cannot give it more stars or recommend this iron due to the obvious design flaw in the temperature control.
misunderestimated1Carefully followed Instructions but water blobs keep escaping over the ironing soaking everything. It's also extremely heavy !!! Regret buying it !!!
Elly HayesThe only downside to this iron is that it does not glide smoothly over any material. My Rowenta one was much smmother.
AVID READERI have had this iron for 6 weeks or so and it was working well and cut down time through big water tank and a good sole plate but it is away for repair after the steam button on the handle broke.
Mr. R. McauleyGreat iron but the steam button broken. Im not sure if i can return as i have it about a year
M. ConlonBought the iron, steam button broke. Got replacement, it broke again. Fuming! How difficult is it to make an iron that does not break? It's not a space rocket, for goodness sake!
Yulia DI didn't know that Breville made irons so was curious to try this one out. It claims to have a larger water tank which makes it bulky but it isn't any heavier than a comparable iron. The instructions are clear and I like that the hole to fill the tank is wide so there is likely to be little spillage. There is a heat indicator strip which sounds very useful but I think it's actually limited as it's not difficult to tell whether or not an iron is hot. While ironing, I found that each time you put the iron on its heel, water and steam spat out more than other irons and that spitting is quite noisy. When you're using the extra steam function water seems to drop on the clothes rather than just the extra steam.I've used the iron a few times now and have also found that the ironing plate drags on the clothes occasionally.Positively, I do like the colours and styling of the iron but don't think I will be using it much again and certainly wouldn't recommend.

Janie UIMO, this iron has some silly design flaws that prevent it being a 5 star unit. (1) nice long power cable, but white? (2) Steam shot and spray buttons are well placed but steamer sticks on occasion, and could use a slightly grippier or textured surface as my thumb often slips (3) BLOODY heavy - some might hate this, but not me (4) nice and wide and with a very useful pointed tip.
R. DoreThis product is absolutely great, apart from the one we got kept leaking water from the steam vents. It would leave big blobs of water over the clothes, splashing out from the front when changing direction of the iron. It then started leaving puddles underneath itself when stored in an upright position, so when have returned it. Possibly it faulty, seemed to be more than one of the steam vents causing the issue so it might also be a design fault.
Amazon CustomerNice iron but it has already started leaving brown water marks on the clothes even though I have only used it a few times.
cbOur fastest steam iron, we’ve designed this Breville DiamondXpress 3100W with you in mind: outstanding performance and helpful features deliver fast results, giving you more time to do the things you actually enjoy. We’ve also added a touch of glamour; high gloss white and rose gold are complemented by a diamond print design and crystals set into the control dial. Real crushed diamonds have been added to our premium ceramic soleplate to improve glidability and durability for supreme performance. The super-wide, multi-directional soleplate delivers effortless gliding in all directions, pressing more fabric and removing more wrinkles with every single glide. Super-wide means super-fast! The ultra-powerful steam shot gets deep into fabrics - powering through tough creases with minimum effort. The easy-fill inlet makes filling quicker and spill-free, while the large 400ml tank means more ironing between re-fills. Comfort is important too, so a soft-grip handle means less fatigue and an extra-long 3m power cord with 360° action gives greater manoeuvrability. Up-to-temperature illumination means you can see at a glance when your iron is ready to use. A wide heel design gives greater stability and neat cord storage.
