Rubbish
I. WisemannOver a 5 day period I made two loaves and attempted to make two more. The first was a white loaf, the top of which looked a bit odd. Not a normal crusty top to a loaf. The second was a wholemeal which did not rise properly (an apparent lack of sufficient kneading) and the top of which looked like an uneven dried mixture rather than a crust. The third loaf was supposed to be a small white loaf with ingredients exactly as the machines recipe. Settings number 2 programme; dark crust; small loaf. Motor sounded but ingredients were not mixed. The heater came on.Fourth loaf was as above but with half the ingredients (to test the machine). No motor sound at all. No mixing, but again, the heater worked. There was at least a day between each attempt. Decided to return the machine and go back to hand baking.Another oddity was that the machine is sold as a 1kg machine but the instruction book clearly instructs that one must not exceed 550g of flour, after providing recipes which require up to 760g of flour. What happened to that famed German efficiency?
